Very sad, but intriguing backstory. So often Connor is depicted with the absent father (through death or abandonment) trying to take care of an ill mom. A similar childhood (which Lester could know about from security checks/personnel files) goes a long way in explaining him opening his home to Connor in season 3. Nicely done.
