Lester sighed softly as he strolled into the forest.
A long week spent caged between four walls as he listened to idiots had taken its toll.
As he took a deep breath, Lester felt the tension start to leave his body.
This was what made such terrible weeks bearable.
The freedom to run in the forest.
To just be the wolf: free to roam, to play, to hunt.
Not the man: tied to his desk, working, sitting in traffic, writing reports.
Lester smiled as he shifted.
And the dark wolf raised his head and howled his joy to the moon.
