Every expensive restaurant or chef-cooked meal Philip ordered had Connor feeling uncomfortable. They always reminded him of what he had lost when James left him.
Oh, they had gone out for meals, but James had never booked a place so upmarket Connor felt even breathing would break something.
James had cooked too, including meals he knew were Connor's favourites and every one had been a masterpiece. All the little things that said “I love you”.
Philip never bothered... did that mean Philip didn't love him?
Philip always said... no, he had never uttered those words.
Had he?
Was Abby right?
