Title: Pulling The Trigger
Author: knitekat
Word Count: 100
Characters: James Lester
Rating: 12
Disclaimer: Primeval belongs to Impossible Pictures. Certainly not me. Writing for fun and will replace.
A/N: For the P100 challenge 260: Shoot To Kill. Part of my Dreams Of Yesterday drabble series. Thanks go to Fred for the beta, *hugs*
James took a deep breath and slowly released it, relaxing as he sighted down the rifle's scope. He expertly tuned out the surrounding sounds and carefully lined up on his target; his finger resting against the trigger guard until he was ready. Waiting until the perfect moment before he squeezed off the shot.
James held out his hand for the begrudged prize and enjoyed Steff kissing him soundly when he handed her the soft toy.
James found this a far better use of his skills, but knew the next time he pulled the trigger, it wouldn't be at a fair.
